After returning to Australia from living and working overseas, Linda and Darren were searching for a way to be their own boss and spend quality time with their young family.
That Christmas, after tasting a relative’s home-made chutney and experiencing a flavour epiphany, Willow Vale Gourmet Foods was born.
With a passion for local produce, natural ingredients and bold flavours Linda and Darren converted a granny flat on their property into a commercial kitchen and created a range of chutneys and sauces which they sold at local markets.
Six years on, Willow Vale Gourmet Foods continues to grow and evolve with the range expanded to include specialty infused olive oils, dressings, balsamic reductions, premium dukkahs and Pickle Hopper Australian smoked salts.
And while the business is clearly a passion for Linda and Darren, they have found a flexible balance between work and family time - which was the inspiration right from the start.
