Husband and wife Lou & Paul, along with their son Byron (and sometimes daughter Summer too), have been producing their proudly small-batch artisan soy candles from the Drift Trading Co factory in Currumbin since 2016.
Lou has always had a love of style and design and is passionate about the way candles can help enhance a space, spark joy and create special moments.
After resigning from a career in the corporate sector Lou decided to follow her dream to create beautiful scented candles in fragrance blends that are strong enough to leave an impact but not synthetic smelling or too overpowering.
After humble beginnings at markets, Drift candles soon grew a loyal following and the business was soon busy enough that Lou’s husband Paul joined Drift full time.
Along with son Byron (who is a mad keen long board surfer when he's not making candles) the family often work six days a week hand-pouring their signature scented candles in small batches to be enjoyed in homes right across Australia.
